1. How to configure:
- Set buffer size (bytes) and priority (1=highest, 16=lowest) for each LCG (0‑3).
- Set periodicBSR-Timer and retxBSR-Timer (slots) – they auto‑trigger BSR on expiry.
- Set padding bytes (only used for Padding trigger).
- Click Start Periodic Timer to begin the periodic timer (it will restart after each expiry).
2. What will be the flow:
- Regular/Periodic: if one LCG has data → Short BSR; if multiple → Long BSR.
- Padding: if padding fits Long BSR → Long BSR; if only fits Short BSR and multiple LCGs → Short Truncated (reports highest‑priority LCG); if more than Short but less than Long → Long Truncated (reports as many LCGs as fit, in priority order).
3. What student can expect:
- UE shows LCG bars; gNB displays decoded BSR.
- MAC CE bytes appear when BSR is sent.
- Description shows which format was chosen and why.
4. Recommended button sequence:
- First: Adjust LCG buffers, click Regular BSR.
- Then: Set periodic timer value, click Start Periodic Timer, then click Step Slot repeatedly to see timer expire and trigger BSR.
- Then: Set padding bytes, click Padding BSR to see truncated formats.
- Reset to start over.
